Since 2004, RLE has been a valuable partner for Ameresco, supplying energy efficiency lighting and providing electrical installation services. RLE has assisted Ameresco in various capacities including specifying lighting packages, designing custom fixtures for unique applications, and providing auditing services for implementing a turnkey solution.

Ameresco’s goal for upgrading their lighting fixtures was to reduce their wattage consumption in half to save energy and money.

Existing fixtures were 4L Industrial 8′, 2L 4′ Industrial with normal ballast. 2×2 and 2×4 recessed troffers with 2U lamps, and 250w to 400w Metal Halide Highbays.

For the Industrial fixtures, RLE installed 4L 8′ with low ballast, 2L 4′ industrial with low ballast, 2×2 recessed troffers with straight 17w lamps and normal ballast, and 2×4 recessed troffers with 2L 4′ industrial with low ballast. For the existing Metal Halide highbays, 4L T8 and 6L T8 Fluorescent Highbays were installed. 70-100 watts Metal Halide was replaced by 24W LED Canopies. Existing Par 38 Incandescent lighting in the Auditorium was replaced with PAR 38 LED.

RLE and Ameresco continue to be partners to achieve substantial energy savings and improved lighting.

ShopRite Supermarkets have been clients of RLE for nearly 10 years (2012-present). In an effort to save energy, RLE Industries has been the “go to” company to meet largely all of ShopRite’s lighting needs.

RLE has provided 18 ShopRites in over the last ten years with their lighting packages.  Just these new stores include over 1 million sq. feet of supermarket retail space. Through the implementation of RLE’s energy-efficient LED and fluorescent lighting systems, these stores are operating at almost 40% lower wattage per square foot, compared with The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) standards.

ShopRite’s existing lighting fixtures were Metal Halide track heads and Surface Mount Metal Halide fixtures. They upgraded to LED’s. RLE converted these fixtures to LED tracks and track heads and surface mounted LED luminaries’ to reduce electricity and maintenance costs.

RLE coordinated with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) on behalf of ShopRite Supermarkets to apply and assist in receiving rebates for all eligible lighting products through the New Construction Program.

George Comfort & Sons has been a very active client of ours within the last year. In an effort to save energy, RLE Industries has provided services to design and install lighting applications into these locations.

Realizing the need to reduce its energy use, George Comfort and Sons relied on RLE to replace their 2 lamp fluorescent industrial fixtures to 2 lamp LED fixtures. Par 38 incandescent lamps were converted to Par 38 LED lamps. In addition, their fluorescent channel fixtures were converted to LED strips.

As a result of these changes, we improved their color rendering, we reduced their energy consumption, and we upgraded their fixture technology.

We also coordinated with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) on behalf of George Comfort and Sons to apply and assist this customer in receiving rebates for all eligible lighting products through the New Construction Program.
